Wildcraft Workshops
Arrow Making
This Workshop is centered on learning the variety of plants that can be used for hardwood arrows and how to make them. We will discuss these unique plants followed by a brief demonstration on proper harvesting and processing. Here you will have a chance to test your newly learned skill as you begin to fashion your own arrow stave, everything from the initial bark removal to the point where you will nock the end and use real turkey feathers to fletch.
(All materials provided)
Locating & Identifying
We will begin our workshop reviewing which plants to look for and the type of environment you will find them in. We will also go over what signs to look for to get the best possible arrow.
Processing Branches
We will actively process the branches into clean arrow staves, going over each part step by step. By the end of this lesson you will be left with a smooth, straightened arrow stave ready for its feathers.
Fletching & Nocking
In the final steps we will nock your arrow then begin the process of fletching with turkey feathers. At the end of this workshop you will go home with your very own handmade arrow and the knowledge of how to make more.
